A Pathway to tackling Poverty!

More than 700 million people, or 10 per cent of the world population, still live in extreme poverty today, struggling to fulfil the most basic needs like health, education, and access to water and sanitation, to name a few. We do know that poverty disproportionately affects women and single mothers. We know poverty is continuing to impact women and children across the world in various ways, especially the increase of homelessness and impact on personal well-being and safety during the Pandemic. Why are we here today? We are at an intersection of Global Poverty and Women's well-being. Women in Sustainability are partnering with 2 major Non-Profits that are driven to solve the global poverty problem. Our purpose through this event is to provide insights on ways we ALL contribute to the greater society through learning how local organizations are supporting our NJ & NYC communities through sharing learnings and empowering you to create a positive change.
