Mental Resilience for a Changing Climate: Online Webinar

Understand the neurophysiology of stress, what's causing us stress within the climate change context and how to nurture mental resilience.

How is climate change impacting our mental health?
What do we, as professionals working on the solutions and adaptations, need to understand in order to nurture our mental resilience and support others around us?

This Women in Sustainability workshop is designed especially for professional women who work in sustainability, who are interested in equipping themselves with a thorough understanding of the neurophysiology of stress and what is causing us stress/ distress within the climate change framework.

Our special guest, A/Professor Caryl Barnes MBBS, FRANZCP, MD, will be sharing insights from the psychiatry profession perspective, with a unique insights into how Australians have been impacted by the increased severity and frequency of bush fires, severe flooding, record heat and severe storms. She will also be discussing how to recognise climate distress in self and in others, what protective factors should be nurtured and when to reach out to professional mental health support.

This will be a really informative and engaging session.
